Samraath, Founder and Academic Head of Ashacademy, is a UGC NET-JRF qualified educator, practicing artist, and researcher dedicated to transforming Visual Arts education in India. His journey began with one mission – to provide structured, conceptual, and exam-focused learning for Fine Arts students preparing for UGC NET Visual Arts and Ph.D. in Visual Arts.
Currently pursuing the final year of his Ph.D. in Visual Arts from Himachal Pradesh University, he combines academic research with teaching experience to guide students not just to qualify, but to understand art deeply.
The Journey
After completing BFA from College of Art, Delhi, and MFA from Himachal Pradesh University, he discovered the lack of proper guidance and resources for UGC NET aspirants in the Visual Arts field. During his own preparation, he missed qualifying by just 2% in his first attempt - but that setback became the foundation of Ashacademy’s story.
With complete focus and dedication, he cleared UGC NET–JRF in his second attempt and began mentoring other students online during the lockdown. His first student cracked JRF in the very first attempt, reinforcing his belief that the right approach and mentorship can change everything.
What started in 2019 as a small online initiative has today evolved into Ashacademy - a trusted name in Visual Arts education, guiding hundreds of Fine Arts students across India.

His vision for Ashacademy is to create India’s leading Visual Arts ecosystem that connects students, educators, and researchers through online learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing. He strongly believes in building a community where clarity, curiosity, and confidence are at the heart of every learner’s journey.
